Life isn’t alist of tasks.It’s a journey.

Rihla is an Arabic-first companion that reflects your four dimensions back to you — mind, spirit, body, world — and makes your direction visible.

Everything begins with a dream.

A single point of light in the quiet. In Rihla, it becomes your goal.

Then the dream becomes structure.

A goal branches into projects, milestones, and daily focus. Every action knows its purpose.

Progress isn’t a chart. It’s altitude.

Deep minutes pile up like elevation gained — measured from sessions you actually held, never estimated. When the signal is too thin, the mountain simply is not drawn.

One year from now…

Small daily focus, pointed at what actually matters to you. That is all Rihla does: it makes the direction visible.

05Where it runs

One phone today. The rest, in the order they are actually being built.

Most software companies draw a phone, a tablet and a laptop lighting up together. We have an Android app and a repository with one platform folder in it. This is the honest version of that diagram.

  1. 01

    Android

    In development

The whole product. Focus blocks, reviews, the score, the simulation, the decision log — all of it runs on the device, and syncs to our own service so a new phone is not a fresh start.

  2. 02

    This site

    Reads only, by design

The web will read your record and never write to it. Not a limitation we are apologising for — a second writer that ignores the sync contract is how rows vanish or resurrect on the phone in your pocket.

  3. 03

    Tablet

    After Android

The same build already runs on a large screen; what it does not yet have is a layout designed for one. A stretched phone screen on an 11-inch panel is not a tablet app and we will not call it one.

  4. 04

    iOS · desktop

    Not planned

One person is building this. Two app stores is two release processes, two review queues and two sets of bugs, for an audience we have not earned yet. When that changes, this row changes with it.

Checked against the app repository, not against a roadmap slide: it has one platform folder.

And this is the actual thing.

Real captures from a real build, on an account seeded with three months of history. Every figure is what the app computed from that data — nothing retouched, nothing filled in. The sub-score sitting lower than the others is sitting there on its own.

OS Health, what Rihla noticed, the way into reviews. If the signal isn’t there, the field stays empty.

07How it is built

The safeguards that are structural, not procedural.

A rule you have to remember is a rule you will eventually forget. These four are enforced by the shape of the system, so forgetting is not one of the available outcomes.

  1. 01

    The browser cannot write

Reads go straight to the database under select-only row-level security. Writes go through the sync service, because it is the only thing that understands tombstones and last-write-wins. The invariant is kept by absence: no insert, update or delete policy is ever written, so a browser write fails closed.

  2. 02

The engines are ported, then held

The score, simulation and decision engines exist twice — once in Dart on the phone, once in TypeScript here. They are never shared, because a shared engine is a coupling that breaks a release. Instead a parity harness runs both against the same fixtures and fails the build when they disagree.

  3. 03

Nothing readable is drawn in WebGL

The world behind this page carries feeling; every word, name and figure is DOM. So nothing readable disappears when the graphics do not run, and nothing readable has to be mirrored by hand for Arabic. A crawler and a reader with scripts off get the same page you are reading.

  4. 04

    Motion never decides visibility

Every reveal on this site is armed by JavaScript that has proved it is running, and every one carries a timer that jumps it to the end. Animation frames stop in a background tab and under battery saver; a headline waiting for one is a blank page. Reduced motion gets the content, never a faster version of the animation.

08Field notes

There are no customer stories here yet.

This is where they will go. Until someone has used Rihla long enough to have something true to say about it, the space stays empty rather than filled with a stranger’s face and a number nobody measured.

What will appear here, when it exists

  • A named person who agreed to be named, not an initial and a job title.
  • A figure taken from their own screen, with the period it covers stated.
  • The part that did not work for them, in their words, kept in.
In the meantime

One person uses it every day: the person building it. That is worth exactly as much as it sounds like, which is why it is written here as a sentence and not as a testimonial.
